Chopped and Screwed

Hair. It really is a complex issue for me. I'm a fan of the obscene and ridiculous but when it comes to hair, I tend to stick with boring and simple. There's nothing wrong with either boring and simple, but they're just that. It's just, I don't know what the hell to do with my hair. The texture is a cross between Cambodian wavy thick hair and Coarse Black hair. Some parts of my head are silky smooth and the other part is afro. Most stylists I go to don't really know how to deal with it.

My dad got me an Instyler for Christmas. I had no idea what it was before my dad gave it to me. Supposedly it can curl, straighten, and do all sorts of tricks. I decided to try this thing out-at 11:00 pm, the night before school. My sister straightened it for me as I sat throught 3 episodes of Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore is addictive garbage, by the way. After she finished, I looked at the ends..ughhhh, so I decided we should cut them off.Snip, Snip, Snip and this is what my hair looked like:

Kinda Horrendous? I agree.

Soooo I ended up at Empire Hair Salon, aka Blaine's Beauty School. This place is hit or miss. I've definitely been caught up in ugly haircuts before0 this is NOT the place to go if you can't take chances. It is cheap, though. Anyway, fast forward to the part where I get my hair Shampooed, conditioned, blowdryed, and straightened. Don't foger the burning too- this woman kept on burning my scalp with the goddamn blowdryer. I didn't know getting your hair done was supposed to hurt!Anyway, the end result was this:

The best part of having my hair like this is being able to wear a hat! With my hair always in a bun, it was hard to wear hats. That, and I thought I had a gigantic head.

Now I have to maintain this by repeating the process every week.Eventually I'm just gonna dye it, cut it close, and grow it all back healthily. The End.
