Harvard with a dash of rain

Hung out with Vicky around Harvard Square the day I took these. The whole time it looked like it was going to rain.It did and yet I still couldn't put the camera away. Really, I can't help it-pictures in the rain are fucking gorgeous when you can capture them.

This man right here? I have no clue who he is. The white face made me curious but there was something else, a pensiveness about him that made me want to take the shot. He was taking an eternal smoke break, I noticed, because I circled around the block and he was still doing it.I crept up and asked to take a pic for him and he accepted. Hence, this picture.

The cat and dog above are in Harvard Square everytime and when I go by, I always give them a pet. They look so sad, though! I think it was the rain.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of flower pictures. They're beautiful but they evoke no feeling in me.I guess because they're always captured in the same way. Next time I'll try a different angle or something. But really? I dont feel anything towards this picture.

Drinks, uh, lemonade from a famous( judging by how crowded it was, don't even go here if you're claustrophobic.) burger place where we ate fries covered in chili, nacho cheese, jalapenos, and sour cream.Being a pig, I forgot to take a picture. Oh,well.

Copley

Chilling at the library in Copley with Stephanie who hates with a captial H having her picture taken. She should know that sooner or later, I will get her photograph. Took the camera out today, nothing interesting as can be seen by the pictures...or,is it that I'm restricting myself with what I can take pictures of? I feel so intrusive sometimes with the camera, but it's more because I'm not used to lugging it around daily.I can feel that my guard will be let down soon, there is so much that I can shoot, especially people! I just have to work up the courage to ask them whether I can take their picture...or just to snap in general. Who knew one tool could lead to a world with eyes wide open?

SCHOOL! Which I'm dreading and not dreading at the same time. The good? it's senior year and I've been waiting my whole highschool life to leave my school.Basically I'm happy to be thisss much closer to graduation. The bad? Well, there's the whole what I'm going to do after I graduate,or rather, where am I going to go for college? Ugh,really not anticipating applying!Which reminds me that I should start on my portfolio-photographing,painting,drawing my ass off.

Meanwhile, I got my Sartorialist book and my forever in waiting camera! Soo excited, now all I have to do is really learn how to use it. As for the book, I have all my favorite Sartorialist images saved on my computer but it's great to have a physical collestion of them. Definitely worth it! Now my only wish is for the likes of Garance Dore, Igor and Andre, as well as Jak and Jill to put out books. Then my eyes will cry tears of happiness.

Wonderland

Ok,so I know the movie isn't due to come out until 2010 but it's never to early for Alice in Wonderland memorabilia. Maybe be on the day of the premiere, I can be one of those people dripping in merchandise, screaming at the screen every time something didn't go as planned.Orrrr I could just have a symbol to remind me that we all are really mad in this world and that rushing rabbits, chesire cats, and mad hatters do exist. Either way, you can't go wrong with these things.

A request to the ones who let it all hang out

Ok, I know it's summertime and I know it's hot.Temperatures stay rising and so do hemlines. I get that you don't want to be restricted in your clothes. I get that you're a grown woman and can do whatever you want. But could you consider the people that you come across? Could you please, please, please save me the painful task of gouging my eyes out after looking at something and then turning to stare "those" in the face?I'm just weary of women who insist on going braless at the least convenient times ie; on the train, outside, in public! you know, like this?
Thanks,
-M.F.
